Greetings! Vibushan & Poorna are really glad to celebrate the start of a new life together! In doing so, they wondered how to make it novel and special, and more importantly useful. Making a difference is what their thoughts lingered on, but how? Amidst emails/long distance calls/messages/skype sessions/telepathic exchanges they chalked out a plan to support causes they hold close to their hearts.

Gift A Future is an organization that works at giving access to education to under-privileged children. This organization provides financial assistance and opportunities to support children to continue/complete their education. Milaap
As soon as this blog was conceptualized, Poorna's enthusiasm at featuring Milaap knew no bounds! Co-founded by her friend, this organization does commendable work in changing the way people fund and impact communities in need.

Child Relief & You - C.R.Y
A renowned Indian organization that has done path-breaking work towards the betterment of children all over the country, CRY needs no further introduction. This is another NGO that both Vibushan & Poorna dearly endorse and it came to become important to them in different ways.
Many a time, Vibushan as a young boy, has seen his father silently place a little something in a cover, seal it and place it in the seat pocket on board flights. When he checked the envelope at one point, he realised his father makes a contribution to CRY through every Jet Airways flight he travels in and decided to continue that as a tradition. Now the whole family endorses the idea!
Even as a kid, Poorna loved to buy CRY greeting cards, especially of art work done by underprivileged children and so it is no surprise that she also picked CRY to be listed here! To donate to C.R.Y. please click here!
Pinchapoo!
Pinchapoo! (pinch-a-poo) is a brain-child of Kate & Dean Austin, two of Vibushan's closest 'mates' in Melbourne. This is a new and interesting initiative, and it is pretty straight-forward. For instance, in times of natural calamities, we don't often give enough importance to contributing small but significant things like tooth brushes, soaps and shampoos as relief aid. That is what these guys aim to do. Visit them to understand the nature of their work and please do what you can to help. And, if you decide to visit Vibu & Poorna in Melbourne after the wedding, shower 'em with all those little bottles of shampoo you pick up everywhere (erm...not quite literally though!)!
